Investigators Search for Black BMW Involved in Hit-and-Run That Killed Cyclist
A cyclist was killed last night, after being hit at an intersection near Compton by what witnesses describe as a black BMW , CBS LA reports.
The cyclist Enrique Lemus-Bautista, 50, was riding his bike northbound on Avalon Boulevard, when he was hit by the BMW heading west on Redondo Beach Boulevard just after 9 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Witnesses say the car did not stop, but it is not clear to them whether the cyclist or the driver had the green light. Lemus-Bautista was thrown from his bike and died at the scene.
