Introducing...

Support your source for local news!
Today, put a dollar value on the trustworthy reporting you rely on all year long. The local news you read here every day is crafted for you, but right now, we need your help to keep it going. In these uncertain times, your support is even more important. We can't hold those in power accountable and uplift voices from the community without your partnership. Thank you.

You've probably already noticed that we've got a couple of new contributors here at LAist. So without further ado...

Born and raised in Pasadena, Adrienne Crew returned to Los Angeles this year after living 13 years in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Her work has appeared in Salon.com and the San Francisco Chronicle. She is working on her first novel about LA-based African American geeks and punks in the early '80s.

Jessica Ritz was bred—but not born—in Los Angeles, specifically the
Hancock Park/Koreatown area.  She is currently employed in the small
yet special field of historic preservation.  Jessica's primary
interests include architecture and design, urban culinary adventures,
maintaining ties to her roots in New York City and Texas, and trying
to minimize discomfort on the LAX/JFK red eye while flying in coach.

We're also working a few more features for the site... including a weekly Interview... so keep your browsers tuned to LAist!
