How She Thought I Was So Reckless

We need to hear from you.
Today, put a dollar value on the trustworthy reporting you rely on all year long. The local news you read here every day is crafted for you, but right now, we need your help to keep it going. In these uncertain times, your support is even more important. We can't hold those in power accountable and uplift voices from the community without your partnership. Thank you.

The knives are out for our stupid (and, at this moment, quite possibly dirty - dude loves the outdoors) Education Secretary over his offensive comment to a six year-old girl. Riordan's apology fell on deaf ears - the NAACP as well as others have called for his resignation. The always energetic forum kiddies at Eschaton hammer him here. And Kevin Roderick thinks he's probably toast. LAist is a little surprised that this story is lasting so long, but that's probably because he's not a father. Click around a little and check out the various parents commenting over at LAO. They look pissed!

Poor Dicky. He'll never be able to listen to Dylan's "Isis" the same way again.

Update: The story reaches the front page.
