Firefighters were called to a home on the Palos Verdes peninsula when a car wound up on the roof of a building.

On Wednesday afternoon, around 3:40 p.m., a car somehow ended up on the roof of a garage at a home in Palos Verdes Estates. Firefighters responded to the home on the 500 block of Palos Verdes Drive and had to remove the driver from the black Lexus sedan, taking them to a local hospital. Officials told ABC 7 that there were no critical injuries.

At this point it remains unclear how the car got onto the roof, though officials told NBC 4 that the car was in a crash with another car and went out of control. The roof of the detached garage appears to be barely above street level.
