Father Of Two Shot And Killed In The Hollywood Hills
Police are searching for the gunman in the shooting death of a 27-year-old man in a wealthy neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills.
On Sunday night, just after 8:30 p.m., LAPD officers responded to reports of a shooting on the 2000 block of North Sycamore Avenue. When authorities arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near the intersection of Sycamore Avenue and Camrose Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene by firefighters.
In a press release, the LAPD identified the victim as 27-year-old Henry Estrada. LAPD Lieutenant John Radtke told KTLA that Estrada was running away from the gunman before he was shot. Police say they are currently searching for one male gunman who fled the area in a silver or white sedan, eastbound on Camrose Drive.
"We don't have a lot of clues on this one, just yet," Radtke told NBC Los Angeles. "This is a community up here where many people have video systems, so I would ask people to check those video systems."
Estrada's family told NBC that he was a father of two.
