Hillary Heads to Hollywood Monday
Supporters of Hillary Clinton willing to shell out $250 a plate can dine at the Democratic Presidential candidate-hopeful's only Los Angeles stop before the Iowa caucuses, a last minute campaign and fundraising event to be held this Monday night. The swank gathering will take place at Social, which is legendary restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow's toney eatery located in the landmark Hollywood Athletic Club.
KCBS-2 is reporting that there will be a VIP reception as well as another extra-VIP segment of the evening for price tages of $1000 and $2300 respectively.
Last week it was reported that a threatened strike by CBS news writers represented by the WGA brought about the cancellation of the Dems' Los Angeles debate scheduled for December 10th, so it's possible that Clinton opted simply to keep her travel agenda and to come to Southern California as initially planned.
Monday night's fundraiser at Social is reportedly closed to the press, leaving more room for Hollywood big spenders backing the popular Senator from New York to rub elbows with each other in the venue's dramatic "Moroccan Room."
