Haim Died of Prescription Drug OD
Detectives investigating the early-morning death of former teen star Corey Haim reportedly "recovered prescription drugs from the home" the actor shared with his mother, according to the LA Times.
Members of law enforcement working on this ongoing case told the Times under condition of anonymity that Haim "likely died of an accidental overdose involving prescription drugs," though which drugs were in the home and/or in his system have not been named publicly.
More details regarding Haim's death at age 38 will be made available following the autopsy, due to be performed by the Los Angeles County coroner's office, who will also "conduct toxicology tests that take six to eight weeks to complete." The County coroner's have taken control of the case following the LAPD's ruling that Haim's death did not involve foul play.
