Guide to the Oscars Parking/Traffic Clusterfuck

Here are the street and sidewalk closures according to them: Friday, Sautrday, Sunday, Monday.

City Streets (According to the City)
The City of Los Angeles will strictly enforce the parking restrictions and will cite and/or impound vehicles parked on streets at times shown (complete list after the jump).

Hollywood Boulevard has been closed between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive since Monday for the construction of press risers, fan bleachers, and pre-show stages. The Boulevard will reopen by 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 27.

Additional streets will be closed on the day of the show, Sunday, February 25, including Highland Avenue from Sunset Boulevard to Franklin Avenue, and Hollywood Boulevard from Cahuenga Boulevard to La Brea Avenue.

Public Transit
The Red Line will operate on a regular schedule, but will skip the Hollywood/Highland station all day Sunday. Public access to the station will also be a no-no.

Due to street closures in the Hollywood Area, including the closure of Hollywood Boulevard, Metro Bus Lines 163, 210, 212, 217 and 780 will be detoured through Feb. 26. On Sunday, Feb. 25, Metro Bus Line 156 along Highland Ave. will be detoured. Service should be resumed by mid-day on Monday, Feb. 26.

Motorists are advised to call LADOT at 1-866-TOWAWAY to reclaim their vehicles. Vehicles will be held at Hollywood Tow, an Official Police Garage for the City of Los Angeles, located at 1015 N. Mansfield in Hollywood (323)466-8583.
