From Jail to Rehab: Lindsay Lohan a Free Bird
As expected, actress Lindsay Lohan was released at 1:35 a.m. this morning after 13 days in jail. She didn't go home, however, she went straight to a treatment center at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
She was supposed to serve 90 days, but no one expected her to serve the whole time. Like her celebrity counterparts of the past, it was only partial. Paris Hilton served 23 days, Nicole Richie spent 82 minutes and Khloé Kardashian was there for 4 hours, 37 minutes.
Attorney Shawn Chapman Holley wanted urged Judge Marsha Revel to allow Lohan some time with her family before going into treatment, but concerned with a relapse, Revel ordered Lohan to a treatment facility within 24 hours. Within 19 minutes, the celebrity had arrived at UCLA as an interesting rouse played out: two black SUVs reportedly drove down to Orange County with paparazzi in tail.
Lohan must stay sober through August 2011, when her probation ends. Her court-ordered rehabilitation at UCLA will last 90 days.
