The LA Alternative Press chimes in with its annual best of L.A. list, and it's kinda hilarious.Best Neighborhood? Los Feliz. Best local politician? Tom LaBonge. Best public park? Griffith Park. Best event? Sunset Junction. Best Musical venue? The Echo... with Spaceland as the runner-up. Best bookstore? Skylight on Vermont.

LAist thinks it's time to change the Alternative Press' name to the Silver Lake Reader. Obvious picks like Amoeba Music and In-N-Out Burger take well-deserved crowns. But come on, hipsters - LaMonica's pizza is undoubtedly the best slice in town.

The Staff Picks are more palatable. We applaud the inimitable Jumbo’s Clown Room for taking the "Best Female-Friendly Strip Club" award, yet again.
