Happy National Sandwich Day! While some US politicians are eating crow for their midday meal today, the rest of us can seek out solace or celebrate between two slabs of bread to mark the festive food occasion.

We all have our favorites, from a late night PB&J pieced together by the light of the fridge, to an ooey-gooey grilled cheese sandwich on a chilly day...okay, on any day. Those classics aside, here are seven of our favorite sandwiches in Los Angeles. Chances are, we skipped yours; tell us in the comments: What's your favorite sandwich in L.A.?
