Starbucks Opening La Brea Avenue Restaurant Serving Burgers And Booze
You can now start and end your day with Starbucks, as the coffee giant is opening a restaurant with a full bar on La Brea and 4th this summer. Opening June 12, La Boulange will serve bakery and breakfast items such as scrambles and yogurt & granola in the morning, then move to build-your-own burgers and open-face sandwiches in the afternoon and evenings. They'll also have a full bar serving beer, wine and specialty cocktails. Non-alcoholic options include coffees, teas and super thick milkshakes.
La Boulange Bakery is a San Francisco, French cafe chain that Starbucks purchased in 2012 for $100 million in order to start stocking Boulange's pastries in Starbucks stores—which some customers did not particularly care for.
La Boulange itself, however, has favorable reviews from its numerous SF locations. This particular store will be the first outside of San Francisco and its "all-day" concept allows for an expanded menu. The restaurant will also offer seasonal menu items. With all the other hip new dining establishments and the Purple Line Extension underway, things are looking good for S. La Brea.
La Boulange is located at 359 S. La Brea and once open, will operate from 7 am to 10 pm, seven days a week
