Restaurant News & Openings Around Town

Now that Gordon Ramsay's new place is up and running, what other hot new dining spots are opening around town? LAist is particularly excited about the Hollywood location of Loteria Grill that is scheduled to open sometime in June. EaterLA has been closely tracking the progress of this favorite taco spot, whose Farmer's Market location has often been named the best taco place in the city.
The "gastropub" renaissance has a new Hollywood outpost as well, in the form of Delancey, a bar-hangout on Sunset Boulevard that promises to be a neighborhood hot spot in an otherwise desolate location. Those of you on the Westsiiiiide, don't despair, there's Alain Giroud's Anisette, coming...sorta? maybe? kinda soon to Santa Monica.
The openings in Hollywood really don't seem to be stopping any time soon, however; nightlife "impresario" Ivan Kane is gearing up for a new restaurant on Vine, Cafe Wa S (yeah, the S follows the Wa, dunno). We've walked by a few times and have seen nothing but plywood, but the place is scheduled to open in "late June," according to their website. Finally, following up on the late-night dining success of The Waffle is Kitchen 24, another diner-bar hybrid that opened up on Cahuenga just last week. Watch this space for a review coming very soon...(or just email carrie@laist.com if you want to take your friendly-but-highly-strung food editor out to lunch some day).
