Raise a Mug, Pint Glass, Stein, Bottle, Cup, or Can: Today is International Beer Day
August 5th is International Beer Day, which originators call "an opportunity for the whole world to revel in the culture of beer, bars, and breweries."
The goal is to show appreciation for the brew and the culture around it, and to do so, it's a simple as participating. There are a couple of official celebrations happening, including at Downtown's Rowdy Red Wine and Burger Bar and Morel's at The Grove, but you can also just enjoy beer at your favorite watering hole, brewery, or pub.
Not surprisingly, Frommer's did not including Los Angeles as one of the 14 best cities for beer drinking in the world, but there are still lots of great places to enjoy beer in our part of the world area, including Lucky Baldwin's, Library Ale House, Father's Office, The York, Wurstkuche, Golden State, Surly Goat, Blue Palms, Laurel Tavern, BoHo, The Verdugo, Tony's Darts Away, Eagle Rock Brewery's Tasting Room, and The Bruery in the OC. Did we leave your favorite off the list? Let us know!
