Be An Angel: Enjoy a Night of Chilean Wines & Wood-Fired Pizza for a Good Cause June 7
If you like wine and wood-fired pizza and want to enjoy them both in the name of a good cause, there's an event this week that might be right up your alley.
Montes Wines of Chile's "Angels in Action" campaign is kicking off at Urbano Pizza Bar [LAist Review] in Downtown with a gathering from 7-10 p.m. on Thursday, June 7Aurelio Montes will be there himself to pour the vino, and Chef Bruce Kalman has created a special menu for the evening. What will you be eating? Among the dishes from Urbano Pizza Bar will be their most popular signature menu items, as well as the latest creations from Kalman, such as:
- Crispy pork belly skewers with mustard, maple and lime
- Duck confit club sliders
- Farmers' market vegetable antipasti
- House-made mozzarella on crostini with piquillo peppers
- Spring onion confit tartlet with braised oxtail paprikash
Montes will be pouring several wines, including their just-released premium red blend “Twins,” and the renowned Montes “M,” (which retails for $90).
The feel good part? All the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
