Get All The Slurpee You Can On 'Bring Your Own Cup Day'

Our June member drive is live: protect this resource!
Right now, we need your help during our short June member drive to keep the local news you read here every day going. This has been a challenging year, but with your help, we can get one step closer to closing our budget gap. Today, put a dollar value on the trustworthy reporting you rely on all year long. We can't hold those in power accountable and uplift voices from the community without your partnership.

You ever get the largest Slurpee size (a whopping 44 ounces) and after finishing it off think to yourself, "Nah, that wasn't enough?" Well, this Saturday at 7-Eleven is your day.In what they're calling Bring Your Own Cup Day, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. anyone can bring whatever they want to consider a "cup," so long as it fits within a 10-inch cutout that will be at the store. Buckets, trophies, Tupperware, jugs, whatever you want are all cool just as long as they fit in the display (see below). For only $1.49, you can fill up whatever container you bring it with as much Slurpee as you can.

Better drink it fast—but not too fast—lest you wind up with a giant bucket full of cherry flavored cold water. Participants can show off their container on social media with the hashtag #BYOCupDay.
