An Eating Tour of Boyle Heights, Home of L.A.'s Best Bean & Cheese Burrito

Our June member drive is live: protect this resource!
Right now, we need your help during our short June member drive to keep the local news you read here every day going. This has been a challenging year, but with your help, we can get one step closer to closing our budget gap. Today, put a dollar value on the trustworthy reporting you rely on all year long. We can't hold those in power accountable and uplift voices from the community without your partnership.

KCRW's "Good Food" recently took a food-centric tour of Boyle Heights, and put together this video from the eating adventure. Arriving on Metro, producer Gillian Ferguson and Noah Allison of GoodFoodPreservation.com explored the area on foot, stopping to eat some delicious dishes, like a Oaxacan cemitas (sandwich), and what Allison calls the "best bean and cheese burrito in L.A." as well as some other local specialities.

You can listen to the segment as it aired March 10 via podcast or download as well as get the location info for the restaurants they hit up, and also check out Allison's blog for the history of Boyle Heights and a map of his walking tour.
