Where to Find 4 Christmas Movie Locations in Los Angeles
Not too many classic Christmas movies actually take place in Los Angeles. Christmas here doesn't feel traditional: we can't make snow angels, our tongues won't freeze to a pole and Christmas is never white.
So it doesn't come as a surprise that many of the entries on Flavorpill's list of 10 Christmas Movie Landmarks You Can Actually Visit turn out to be in the midwest or East Coast. But that hasn't stopped some studios from shooting some Christmas movies here (sometimes with the aid of a snow machine). Here's a round-up of the top Christmas movie locations in Los Angeles.
One of the most classic scenes from a holiday movie is when George Bailey and Mary Hatch plunge into a gymnasium pool in "It's a Wonderful Life." KTLA caught up with some of the actors from the movie and revisited the Beverly Hills High School gym where the scene was shot. Flavorpill suggests checking out the Martini home, which is located at 4587 Viro Road in La Cañada Flintridge, since arranging to see the high school gym might be hard to finagle.
