Video: Adele Raps Nicki Minaj And Kills It
Part of Nicki Minaj's whole spiel is the way she delivers her epileptic music. Hand gestures, slapstick comedy expressions—it all works for her. But what happens when Adele tries the same? Is she as smooth as Nicki? Are her expressions as on fleek?
The Late Late Show host James Corden drove Adele around London for his "Carpool Karaoke" segment on an episode that aired last night. During their ride, Adele sings beautifully, letting everyone know that her pipes are real and not the result of some fancy music production. Corden and Adele sing their hearts out to some of her hits like "Hello" and "Someone Like You," and even dropping some Spice Girls' "zig-a-zig-ah."
But the real highlight comes around the 10:15-minute mark of the video, when Corden says, "I heard a rumor that you—might be surprising to some fans—are quite the rapper." Adele starts rapping Nicki's verse from Kanye West's "Monster." She even pulls off the line, "With a bad bitch that came from Sri Lanka."
High Art, and snaps for Adele all around. Even Nicki thinks Adele is "mad ratchet":
Adele is mad ratchet. I can't take her😂 #UK #WutsGood
