Video Updates Scientology for New Generation with Rapping, Auto-Tune & Mercedes

LAist relies on your reader support.
Your tax-deductible gift today powers our reporters and keeps us independent. We rely on you, our reader, not paywalls to stay funded because we believe important news and information should be freely accessible to all.

Prepare yourselves: either the Church of Scientology has created yet another video exhibiting an astounding lack of self-awareness or the group Anonymous has executed an elaborate prank mocking the Church.

Either way (and we're going with the former under the never-fail You Cannot Make This Ish Up Theory), the results are hilarious. The promotional shows Scientologists rapping and giving out certificates, rocking aviators and smiling while they make phone calls from Scientology HQ, riding on a Mercedes and SAVING THE WORLD.

The Village Voice posted some of the lyrics (and we corrected one typo, lest you miss the fact that Scientologists are not fans of psychiatry):

Support for LAist comes from
Against impossible odds.
And deceptive facade.
One group outshines, man - just look at the signs.
See we winning all over the place.
Giving solutions to the world and the whole human race
We ain't never gonna back down, leave town, play the clown.
Psychiatry and SPs you know we take 'em down.
See the purpose ingrained.
It's burning in our blood.
They the passing storm.
We the unstoppable flood.
See, cuz we the IAS.
And we're dauntless and defiant.
We confront even the giants, yo.
Handle anyone barring freedom for all.
Cuz you know when we win then nobody falls.
So bring it harder y'all.
Let's make it stronger now.
Unite as one, answer the call.
Come on, and we'll forever be the winners!
