What would you do if Jimmy Kimmel and Mario Batali stopped you on the street so they could whip you up a home-cooked meal? Of course, you'd let them into your home.

On a segment that aired on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show last night, the talk show host brought two Los Feliz strangers together, Lars from Switzerland and Nicole, for a random home-cooked meal prepared by him and Batali of Osteria Mozza fame. And they treated the meal as a date for the strangers, even coaxing them to kiss each other.

Digging through Lars' refrigerator, which was packed to the brim since he lives with six other people, Batali shouted out that it was a "treasure trove." They were able to create dishes like fusilli all'amatricana, bratwurst avec corn, and some Swiss fondue. (If they came to our houses, they probably wouldn't be as lucky.) Kimmel even got a little innovative and used a stainless steel utensil holder as a cheese grater.

They landed Lars a date with Nicole later at Batali's Mozza restaurant after they filmed the segment. Kimmel and Batali might need to launch a dating service of their own.
