Video: 'Girl Meets World' Trailer Delivers Same Dorky Sincerity Of Original Series

For fans of the original Boy Meets World series, the wait is almost over for the highly anticipated Girl Meets World spin-off as Disney announced a date for the series premiere and also released a new trailer. As seen in the trailer below, Girl Meets World doubles down on the TGIF-levels of sincerity that was such a hallmark of the original Boy Meets World series. Corey does double duty as both Riley's dad and history teacher. How awkward!

Growing up is, like, such a trip! We also catch a glimpse of Farkle Minkus, son of Stuart, who seems to embrace his father's former role as the Annoying Kid but without the nerd qualities that wouldn't be PC to antagonize in 2014.

The show brings back Danielle Fishel and Ben Savage's Topanga and Cory, parents to a 13-year-old Riley who starts her first day of 7th grade. The new series also reunites many regulars from BMW, including Rider Strong as Shawn Hunter and William Daniels as George Feeny.
