Video: Aimee Mann Is A Germ In David Wain & Dave Foley's World
One of the most hated things about the winter season is catching the common cold. However, if you think about just how much intimate time you spend with your germs, you might just miss them. Right...?
In Aimee Mann's "I'm Cured" comedic music video, David Wain (Wet Hot American Summer, Role Models) plays a scientist who has cured the common cold with his colleague (Kids in the Hall's Dave Foley). But once the cold is gone (and yes, the germ is played by Mann with a ridiculous furry raver head gear), Wain gets a little heartbroken and nostalgic about his phlegm-filled days.
In the most emotional way Mann can bring to any track, she sings: "I missed the times we stayed in bed all day / You swore over to the phone to your boss you never felt this way."
Are you getting a little choked up?
"I'm Cured" is the second single off of the comedy-music album, 2776, which will be released on July 4, 2014 to raise money for charity group OneKid OneWorld. The album will also feature Will Forte, Ed Helms, Paul F. Tompkins, Ira Glass and Yo La Tengo.
