USC Student Launches 'Bill Murray Appreciation Day'

Bill Murray is one of our generation's most loveable actors, and one USC student is so taken with him that he's decided to launch Bill Murray Appreciation Day, in part to express his love for Murray and in part to entice him to be in his thesis film.

Christopher Guerrero posted a video to YouTube today called "Bill Murray Appreciation Day: One Bearded Boy's Journey to Make His Dream Come True!" In it, he describes the reason for the posting:

I'm about to shoot my USC thesis film here. Like most awesome movies, it requires Bill Murray.

The inaugural Bill Murray Appreciation Day will take place -- of course -- on Groundhog Day, February 2. Guerrero plans to begin the event at the Vista Theater on Sunset at 7:30 p.m., then head over to Good Luck Bar. On the Facebook event page, Guerrero encourages participants to get in the spirit by dressing up:

In Los Angeles, beginning at 7:30 p.m. dress as a Murray character from your favorite Murray Movie and join us as we visit a variety of watering holes on the gorgeous (?) Sunset Strip! Should you choose not to dress as a Murray Character:
1. Shame on you!

2. Bring a DIY shirt that says: "Where Are You Bill Murray?"
