Shark Week winds down - I'm almost all sharked out anyways, plus the TV Junkie will be heading for a week's vacation at the beach so he was getting a little freaked out.

Sunday's dilemma of "Generation Kill" vs. "Mad Men" continues. If you can Tivo one at a later time then that's a solution to get your dose of what is probably the best original programming of the week.

Speaking of Tivo, some stats released on Tivo usage can be summarized thusly: for all viewing (major networks and cable) 36% of viewing is time-shifted and (only!) about 50% of ads are skipped. The fact is, people aren't skipping ads that are relevant to them so rest easy advertisers and stop pressuring Tivo to remove or otherwise subvert the ability to FFWD through your irrelevant and/or crappy commercials. For more details check out the Media Week article.
