TV Junkie: Weekend Edition

Variety is reporting that the upcoming NBC "The Office" spinoff has made its first hire: Aziz Ansari from MTV's "Human Giant" whom LAist interviewed a couple months ago and whom the TV Junkie met at the Ashton Kutcher SNL post-party in April). While the show title, other cast members, and method of launch is unknown to the general public, it is known that the show will debut this winter in the 9:30pm timeslot, right after it's progenitor.
In other notes:
Stuart Scott was wearing possibly the worst glasses ever on last night's NBA finals game - is there no voice of reason on that set? Other than that, even the most hardcore Lakers fan will have to admit that the Celtics were pretty amazing.
I was pretty disappointed by the "My Boys" season premiere last night. "Reno 911!" was fantastic though, with a cameo by one of our favorite comedians, Michael Ian Black.
