TV Junkie: Weekend Edition

So can fans really make a difference? Word has it that enough fans got through to NBC for them to keep the high school football-romance-drama "Friday Night Lights" on the air through a partnership with DirecTV. This gives one hope that a group of people can make a difference but then disappointment that truly great shows like "Arrested Development" couldn't make the cut. Speaking of which, Will Arnett is on Jimmy Kimmel tonight - Arnett mentioned on Conan a couple weeks ago that perhaps there is an "Arrested Development" movie in the works, wouldn't that be something?
This weekend is all about Torchwood tomorrow night and check out Sunday - HBO's The Wire is ending so if you have that premium channel why would you be watching anything else? If you don't have premium, as you can see you'll have a lot of options like Breaking Bad and Discovery's Human Body (right) among others.
Tonight
9:00pm Ravenous IFC - (1999) Horror flick that is essentially the Donner Party on 'roids. Make some popcorn and spatter it with some Louisiana hot sauce for that "blood on snow" effect.
9:20pm That Mitchell and Webb Look BBCA - British comedy to end the week. Have some sherry.
10:00pm Stargate Atlantis SCIFI - Season Finale.
12:05am Jimmy Kimmel LIVE ABC - The incredible Will Arnett, Camilla Belle, All Time Low performs
12:35am The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson CBS - Amy Sedaris!!! Shanna Moakler, Blake Shelton
Saturday
8:00pm Trading Spaces TLC - Boyfriend/Girlfriend find out if their breakup is final, somehow, during this house project. Oh, and I love you Paige.
9:00pm Torchwood BBCA - UK SciFi goes to extremes in this episode - really looking forward to it.
10:00pm Austin City Limits PBS/KLCS - The Killers and Spoon perform in this repeat.
Sunday
8:00pm The Kid TCM - (1921) One of Charlie Chaplin's best films, also starring Jackie Coogan. This film is followed by another Chaplin film called Shoulder Arms which is a comedy of the World War I trenches of all things.
8:30pm Unhitched FOX - New TV comedy from the Farrelly Brothers- anyone watching?
9:00pm Quarterlife NBC - Is anyone watching this on TV? Check out LAist's interview with Quarterlife's creator.
9:00pm The Wire HBO - 2 Hour Series Finale.
9:00pm/10:00pm Human Body: Pushing the Limits DISCOVERY - Parts 3 & 4 of this great series are about human sensation/perception and the power of our central processing units, our brains! The show is more intense and flashy than what you'd get on PBS so check it out.
10:00pm Dumped BBCA - Series Premiere. This is essentially "Survivor" but the contestants are dumped in a dump and have to survive off of what they find there - the ultimate recycling program! The "winners" split $40k.
10:00pm Breaking Bad AMC - Best show on basic cable? Probably.
