TV Junkie: Tuesday

Pretty much an Olympics-only night tonight which looks like it will be focused on gymnastics (_still_) and now track. Left is a pic from the cycling men's sprint event which was very exciting but of course you won't be seeing any of it on NBC's prime time coverage.
There's a chance to revisit a couple great shows from Sunday night:
Comedy Central's Roast of Bob Saget was very good - the combination of some great comics and the object of their derision/affection, Bob Saget, evoked the feeling of the classic era of roasts in contrast to last year's sub par roast of Flavor Flav which was a joke and not a good one. The rebroadcast is on Comedy Central at 10:00pm and we're looking forward to the release of the DVD.
Sunday's premiere of the BBC's "Skins" was impressive and interesting - a TV show about teens aimed (mostly) at adults. The rebroadcast is next Sunday but BBC America has set up a virtual MySpace of the show's characters and players HERE to check out and get caught up.
8:00pm XXIX Summer Olympics NBC - Track & field, finals: women's 400m, 100m hurdles, men's 1500m; gymnastics, individual finals: men's parallel bars, high bar, women's balance beam; cycling, BMX quarterfinal; diving, men's springboard final.
8:40pm Not Going Out BBC America - Season Finale
9:00pm Wide Angle PBS/KCET - Syrian-Iraqi Red Crescent members help displaced Iraqis in Syria cope with their new surroundings and government pressure.
9:00pm Big Brother CBS - New potential for arguing and humiliation arises as the veto meeting and competition are held.
9:00pm Making the Band 4 MTV - Season Premiere
9:00pm Must Love Kids TLC - Vanessa, Kristin and Tracy get to observe the men in an everyday family situation.
10:00pm The Cleaner A&E - A horse jockey's wife contacts William after he starts behaving oddly, "he" being the horse jockey.
