TV Junkie: Thursday - Reefer Madness
After the last couple weeks we could use some reefer madness. It's on tonight on IFC at 9:45pm.
In somewhat related news, since the early days of his show was for stoned undergrads, David Letterman told Rolling Stone in their most recent issue, that he will be replaced by "The Daily Show's" Jon Stewart and that this has "already been taken care of". Is that really true or is he just riffing on something Craig Ferguson said earlier this year? Perhaps Letterman was just metaphorically speaking, to point out that the late show format on TV has been superseded by the likes of "The Daily Show" and "The Colber(t) Repor(t)". If this were to happen before 2012 then that would be the first time there would be no late night show hosted by someone over the age of 50 in decades. That would be tough since there is a huge segment of Americans who are in older age groups, who grew up with the late show format, who would no longer have any representation in that time slot. Since those people are still the only ones watching TV, I'm not sure that would be such a smooth move.
8:00pm Hole in the Wall FOX - New Time.
9:00pm Dragon's Den BBC America - Japanese grill set; innovative pooper-scooper; new building structure for war zones.
