TV Junkie: Thursday
Well "Dexter" fans, and there's a lot of you evidently, you gave Showtime their highest premiere viewership ever with 1.2 million viewers, a 21% jump from last year.
If you're as desperately hungering for the "X-Files" as we find ourselves to be, oh those good 'ol days, you've probably found yourself watching "Fringe" which is as dark and as laced with humor and weirdness as our old timey favorite show. Good news for you as Fox has bought a whole season's worth of the show.
Starz has a new show, "Crash", based on the 2005 Oscar-winner. The series is co-produced by Paul Haggis, Don Cheadle, and others, and the cast is headed by Dennis Hopper in the lead role of Ben Cendars. Starz has put the entire first episode online for your perusal. Hopper is amazing as usual - "Crash" premieres in a couple weeks.
The TV Junkie plan: VP Debate (because she's got such good taste); "Ugly Betty" (it's all about fashion); "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" (so not fashionable); "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style" (get me some pointers); Letterman (because Bill Hader is on)
6:00pm Vice Presidential Debate ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS - Vice Presidential Candidates Joe Biden and Sarah Palin debate the issues. Don't forget this is more than just about the future of our country, it's also a drinking game.
6:30pm MLB Baseball: Los Angeles Dodgers at Chicago Cubs TBS - National League Division Series, game 2. From Wrigley Field in Chicago.
8:00pm Ugly Betty ABC - Wilhelmina offers Betty a job at Mode as her assistant
