TV Junkie: Thursday

Huffington Post reports that Michelle Obama will be guest host of "The View" on June 18th. Am not sure if being associated with that gaggle of harpies is a good thing or not but the Obama campaign is trying to achieve some parity with the McCains, both John and Cindy have been on the show repeatedly.
We are in total agreement with Jason Kottke that the new ads on TBS have got to stop - these are the promo ads that pause the actual program you are watching in order for a character or characters to come onto the screen to tell you about another show. Somehow obscuring a third of the TV screen with other animated ads and promos was not enough so they're going for the whole hog of obnoxiousness - damn you to Hell TBS, as if your programming wasn't already some kind of Purgatory.
