TV Junkie: Thursday

A couple more days of this visual and mental assault. I've discovered that drinking really helps though.
7:30pm Where Eagles Dare TCM - Here's your chance to bypass most of the new and quite possibly very mediocre offerings this evening by watching this classic. Richard Burton is wooden and robotic in this good guys vs. the Nazis flick, Clint Eastwood is fantastic and there's lots of cool explosions and Nazis getting shot and stuff.
8:00pm My Name Is Earl NBC - Season Premiere.
8:00pm Ugly Betty ABC - Season Premiere.
8:00pm Smallville CW - Season Premiere.
9:00pm The Office NBC - Season Premere. Mercifully does not conflict with Ugly Betty - hooray! TV Junkie 9:00pm Pick.
9:00pm Grey's Anatomy ABC - Season Premiere.
10:00pm ER NBC - Season Premiere. Dear Jah, inspire someone to put a bullet in the skull of this show. No amount of special guest stars will revitalize what has become an unending hell series.
10:00pm Mad Men AMC - TV Junkie 10:00pm Drama Pick (this repeats on Sunday night BTW)
10:00pm Big Shots ABC - Series Premiere. Whenever promos for this series came on, I would cringe because women in the room would be incensed by the macho sexism. I don't know if this means the series will be highly successful [it's so bad it's good?] or it will be a complete flop. Since we're talking network TV, I lean towards the latter just based on historical fact.
10:00pm It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia FX - TV Junkie 10:00pm Comedy Pick.
11:35pm The Late Show With David Letterman CBS - Whoopi Goldberg, Melissa Etheridge performs
12:05am Jimmy Kimmel LIVE ABC - Danny DeVito (pushing It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia), Mario Batali, Frankie Valli performs (he has a new single that I actually kind of like)
12:35am Late Night With Conan O'Brien NBC - Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Ed Helms, Björk performs
