Jimmy Fallon will beintroduced online as Conan O'Brien's replacement this fall according to the NYT. Fallon will not be doing an entire hour-long show, but rather, 10 minute mini-shows that might or might not feature guests and skits. NBC is attempting to get a jump start on the changes that will be made in late night TV next year on NBC with Jay Leno leaving and Conan O'Brien taking over the "Tonight Show". Fallon needs to start strong on "Late Night" as he will not be afforded the same adjustment period that O'Brien was granted a decade and a half ago - times have changed.

For a full-disclosure item, check out this ad that CNN ran touting "Anderson Cooper 360" as "#1 at 10pm" - if you read the fine print of the ad it says that it's #1 only on certain CNN networks during a certain date range when using a certain viewer measurement criteria. Now that's 'keeping them honest'.

The TV Junkie hasn't talked much about Versus' broadcast of the Tour de France even though every live broadcast minute has been duly watched. Tomorrow morning is the first real day in the Alps and the race is sure to blow apart. If you can't get up to watch it at 3:30am then make sure to set your Tivo. The live broadcast with Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwin is the only palatable airing of the race (no offense to the Bobke) so don't waste your time on the others.
