TV Junkie: 'American Horror Story' & 'Psych' Tonight

Before you
Dear reader, we're asking you to help us keep local news available for all. Your financial support keeps our stories free to read, instead of hidden behind paywalls. We believe when reliable local reporting is widely available, the entire community benefits. Thank you for investing in your neighborhood.

We'll be watching "American Horror Story" on FX at 10pm tonight, and believe me the story gets quite chilling and convoluted so hold onto your hats. What we're eager to see on rerun later in the evening is the season premiere of "Psych" on USA, a consistently great show that has had a myriad of amazing guest stars over the years. Tonight on "Psych," Malcolm McDowell makes another memorable appearance - one that series star James Roday referred to in our conversation earlier this year (see the above video).
Back when HBO announced the premiere date for "Bored To Death" I voiced my concern about the move to Monday nights and sure enough, the numbers for HBO's Monday premieres of "Bored To Death" and "Enlightened" are very low. Monday nights have never been a big night for HBO so I hope they give these shows the benefit of the doubt when it comes to renewal time. If HBO wants to have original programing on Mondays they have to support the show and continue promotion of it. HBO has always had shows that were more about the art than the product and "Bored To Death" stays true to this ideal.
