Video Games - E3 2012
Ron Howard of "Arrested Development" spoke with Kevin Pereira on G4's "Attack of the Show" yesterday and gave us some more info on what a return to TV would mean for the critically acclaimed series [watch video clip abvove].

It was a thrill to see ESPN react so quickly to Hank Williams Jr.'s comparison of President Obama to Hitler on a bizarre appearance yesterday on "Fox & Friends" by removing his song from the opening of their Monday Night Football coverage. If you look like a bloated redneck racist, you probably shouldn't also sound like one if you want to have a high profile in the media. ESPN removed Williams' song by the time Monday Night Football aired which was pretty fast. Later in the day Williams tried to complain about accusations about racism in the Tea Party (a phenomena that is well-documented but not well-reported) but I'm not sure how he combatted that perception with his appearance on Fox. Also, you can get a Confederate flag with Hank Williams Jr.'s face on it and don't forget one of his most popular songs, "If The South Woulda Won (We'd A Had It Made)".

Forgot to mention in yesterday's column: The LA Times had a great interview with Thomas Jane of HBO's "Hung" which had a typically fun and over-the-top season premiere on Sunday. Also in the premiere was the very funny (and stunning) Arden Myrin who had a great showing on Monday's "Chelsea Lately."

I've got to say that I'm utterly amazed that Fox's "Terra Nova" held it's premiere audience numbers last night. I haven't dumped on the show here so it's with genuine curiosity that I ask: Who watches "Terra Nova" and why? I'd like to hear your answers. Currently the show enjoys a lack of competition but that will change over the next few weeks as more premieres come online.

"The Playboy Club" has been canceled but it never should have been made in the first place. The show was NBC's shallow attempt to out "Mad Men" AMC but Style + T&A ≠ Style + Substance. A couple other shows that never should have been made this season: "Pan Am" and "Charlie's Angels" - these are big, flashy, and expensive shows that siphoned away money and talent from original and creative ideas.

"The Onion News Network" returns to TV tonight at 10pm on IFC with host Brooke Alvarez and their amazing collection of correspondents and "experts." We have an interview with one of the executive producers coming later this week but in the meantime check out the teaser video done by Reggie Watts at the end of this post. This is a very fun show, thank goodness it repeats often on IFC, be sure to check it out.
