Rhea Perlman was the secret surprise in last night's episode of "Wilfred"
I'm wondering if anyone else noticed who played Mittens the cat in last night's episode of FX's "Wilfred" - she was there for only a second, but it was Rhea Perlman as Mittens, owned by Mary Steenburgen, who played Elijah Woods' mother. Fun stuff!

If this year's Tour de France whetted your appetite for cycling on TV be aware that this weekend Universal Sports begins coverage of the 2011 Vuelta a España with more than 45 total hours beginning Saturday, August 20 at 8am Pacific. Coverage of the third and final Grand Tour of the European cycling season continues every day at 7am Pacific throughout the three-week race, during which Universal Sports will follow the riders through all 21 stages to the finish in Madrid on September 11. The network will also present primetime re-airs of each stage nightly at 5pm Pacific. If you don't have Universal Sports in your cable lineup you can still watch online for a price - more info HERE. I love watching online because the coverage starts earlier and ends later than what is actually broadcast on TV and coverage continues during the commercial breaks.

Do you want to be a pretend TV critic like me? The Paley Center in Beverly Hills is hosting Fall TV preview parties from September 6th through the 12th and they're FREE, just need to reserve tickets. You will get to see preview clips as well as ask questions of series creators and stars. Write down your impressions, ask some questions, and put it all in a post with some snarky comments and you've got a TV column.

It's great news to hear that there will be a new Sarah Silverman TV show and it will be on NBC. No idea when the show will air but Ron Howard and Brian Grazer are co-producing. NBC has a good history of honoring talent on the comedic side of its programing so this could turn out to be a great show if she gets the support she deserves.

I've been completely remiss in mentioning Cartoon Network's relaunch of "Thundercats" which airs on Fridays at 8:30pm. Great for new kids and old ones who want to reminisce about their feelings for Cheetara.
