Weekend Edition

Ep. 3 Clip - Jon training in Castle Black
We've got some pretty good TV on this weekend with a new edition of HBO's "Real Time With Bill Maher" tonight followed by "Fringe" on Fox, comedian Nick Di Paolo's Showtime special on Saturday (more on that below), and new episodes of "Game of Thrones" (see trailer above) and "The Killing" on Sunday.
Be sure to check out our videos that we posted from the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival this week from today (Will Ferrell, Stephen Root, Carl Lewis, etc.) and on Monday (Olivia Wilde, Dennis Farina, Gary Cole).
Sensitivity and compassion at Fox? Looks like the network is pulling their "hurricane-themed" episodes of "Family Guy," "American Dad," and "The Cleveland Show" which were set to air this Sunday out of respect for southern states hit hard by the [global warming-fueled] tornados this week.
Comedian Nick Di Paolo has been seen regularly on "Hannity," "Red Eye," "Fox and Friends," and CNN's "Joy Behar," and the uncompromising attitude he exhibits on those shows is the same one you'll get in his Showtime special, "Nick Di Paolo Raw Nerve," which premieres tomorrow night at 9pm. If you don't have Showtime, on Monday, May 2nd, New Wave Dynamics is releasing the digital album of the same name available at Amazon and other locations. You may not agree with his politics, but if you watched FX's "Louie" last summer, you would have to admit that Di Paolo put in some pretty amazing performances on that show and some of that amazing energy is always in his stand-up act.
We thought "The Office" did a real classy job wrapping up the tenure of Michael Scott aka Steve Carell last night. We read that some people cried as they watched the bittersweet ending, how did you take it?
The TV Junkie Must-Watch Plan: Tonight - "Attack of the Show," "Real Time With Bill Maher," "Fringe," "Camelot," "Late Show With David Letterman" (Actor John Krasinski; comic Brian Kiley; Steve Earle performs), "The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson" (Actor Bob Saget; Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings perform). Saturday - "Nick Di Paolo: Raw Nerve," "The Stash". Sunday - "Nature," "Game of Thrones," "The Killing," "Treme" (on rerun).
