Weekend Edition

On this Pro Bowl Weekend we were going to share the "Pro Bowl Shuffle" that the "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" crew came up with at the beginning of January. The video, which is referenced all over the web has mysteriously been pulled from all outlets in including NBC's website (where even the blog post with the lyrics has been removed). We wonder if it's related to the owner of the original "Super Bowl Shuffle" suing Viacom in December. Surely Fallon's version would be protected by the law as a parody? One of our friends at the show stated "it's a long story." It's a shame as the piece was very funny and we wanted to share it again before this joke of a game on Sunday. Review the lyrics here.

Yesterday we bitched about the new NBCUniversal logo, the gang at "30 Rock" was way ahead of us, as evidenced in the above video.

A big weekend of comedy awaits us: Tonight Bill Maher celebrates the 200th episode of "Real Time" with guest former Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele which will result in high comedy. Saturday has the premiere of Nick Kroll's Comedy Central special "Nick Kroll: Thank You Very Cool," we love Kroll on "The League" so this will be a treat; Saturday will also feature a new "SNL" with Jesse Eisenberg hosting; and Sunday will feature the Showtime block of "Californication," "Episodes" (there's an "Episodes" marathon on Showtime tonight in order for you to catch up) and "Shameless." Our dance card is full.
