Will Sunday's season finale mark the end of Dexter's budding relationship with Lumen? Find out at 9pm on Showtime

Last night's fantastic double header season finale of "The League" on FX made it difficult to determine which episode was better. We won't give anything away as some people still haven't watched it on their DVRs yet. One thing that concerns us is that FX hasn't renewed the series yet. Give FX a nudge by dropping a note to and demand that they renew "The League" as soon as possible. In other "League"-related news, Paul Scheer (Andre) will be starting a podcast next week called"How Did This Get Made?" where he and a panel take apart a bad movie bit-by-bit. First movie on the chopping block is: Burlesque. Nick Kroll (Ruxin) was also part of an hour-long podcast at Maximum Fun's "Jordan, Jesse, Go!" that had some very funny moments. Again, drop an email to renew "The League" today.
Sunday features the season finale of "Dexter" on Showtime at 9pm and we have to commend the showrunners for recovering momentum and direction about 4 weeks ago. [Spoiler Alert] We understand that there needed to be some recovery from Rita's death for Dexter, resetting the direction of his character, to see if he would be getting back into stride. Some fans decried the appearance of Julia Stiles' Lumen and were horrified at the new team and relationship she formed with Dexter. All that appears to be in jeopardy as we head into Sunday's episode so maybe the Lumen-haters will get what they want after all.
Brand X Daily is reporting thatthis Sunday from 12pm to 12am there will be a "Party Down" reunion show and party at Cinephile. All the episodes of the Starz show will be screened and a lot of the cast will be there. We loved this show and would love to be there. If you go, tell us what it was like!
Spike TV and Philo have teamed up for the Video Game Awards premiering this Saturday, December 11th at 5pm Pacific. PT. Philo and Spike have created World Exclusive Premiere Badges tied to a variety of the 13 world premieres slated for some of the most anticipated games of 2011 and beyond. Neil Patrick Harris will host this year's awards. This year’s VGA presenters and attendees include Danny Devito, Kaitlin Olson, Rob McElhenney, Guillermo Del Toro, Olivia Munn, Annalynne McCord and Tony Hawk among others.
2011 will be when "The Closer" closes. Series starKyra Sedgwick will call it quits after 7 seasons. TNT will begin production in the Spring. We haven't really been watching the show for the last few seasons and were more than a bit surprised at Sedgwick's Emmy win a few months ago as her better performances as Brenda Leigh Johnson occurred a while ago. Still, if her show paved the road to fund a show like "Men of a Certain Age", then thank you Kyra and good job.
Check out the promo at the end of this post for the new season of "Tosh.0" which starts in January.
