TV Junkie: Sundance's 'Carlos' Premiere; Martha Stewart in Primetime

Edgar Ramirez plays the title role of "Carlos" in an exploration of the terrorist/playboy. The miniseries premieres tonight at 9pm on Sundance.
Tonight marks the premiere of some stellar original programming on the Sundance Channel, "Carlos" (9pm), a miniseries that explores the life of 1970s terrorist "Carlos the Jackal", portrayed by Edgar Ramirez (The Bourne Ultimatum, Che) who humanizes the playboy/revolutionary/terrorist/assassin. The miniseries airs over the next 3 nights at 9pm and is a strong foray into the world of original scripted programming by Sundance - we hope to see more of it from them.---

Back in January we questioned Martha Stewart's move from network TV to Hallmark cable and it looks like our assumptions were correct: her show isn't doing well there. In fact, Hallmark has removed blocks of Stewart's programming and replaced them with reruns of ancient shows like "Little House on the Prairie". In an effort to boost awareness of Stewart's show, Hallmark is running it in primetime (8pm) every night this week and featuring higher profile guests like Hillary Duff and a focus on Halloween and Fall-themed food and crafts but we're guessing that parental units who have kids up at that hour tonight will be watching the new episodes of the Cartoon Network's "Adventure Time" - a wonderfully weird and funny show worthy of both adults and kids.
