TV Junkie: DVD Sales Drop; Sunday Season Premiere of '24'

Like it or not, this weekend is all about Part I of the season premiere of "24" (FOX, Sunday @ 8pm). Kiefer did a good job on today's "Morning Edition" on NPR and will be on Letterman tonight. As far as we're concerned there ain't jack but Jack on this Sunday. This doesn't mean we won't be keeping an eye on the Golden Globes, but all reports have it that the awards ceremony will be "subdued".
DVD sales dropped by 5.5% in '08 according to Digital Media Wire, which is no surprise as there are now so many venues and devices to watch programming on (and yet there are still certain movies available only on VHS???). We will have some DVD reviews for you coming soon, that may or may not pique your interest. Web and DVR downloads sometimes don't include the many "extras" available on DVDs - is this enough for you to buy something physical? You tell us.
