Weekend EditionSure we're excited about the "True Blood" season finale on Sunday as well as how "Mad Men" will follow up to last week's fantastic episode, we also want to see what Chelsea Handler will do with MTV's Video Music Awards (but not enough for it to interfere with our viewing of either "True Blood" or "Mad Men") but what we're going to spend time with tonight is the broadcast of "Stand Up to Cancer" which will be on most networks.

There will be interesting personalities bringing their stories and star power to the show (including stars of "True Blood", "Mad Men", "Dexter", and more) and it's a worthy cause to be committed to. It's something we personally raised over $6000 for in order to ride 300 miles in 3 days across the state of Massachusetts this Summer. Watch the show, enjoy the personalities, but reach into your pockets to throw some scratch at the problem via the research portals we've linked to above.

Fans of comedy will rejoice at Showtime's renewal of Paul Provenza's "Green Room". Season one saw some spectacular discussions with Roseanne Barr, Tommy Smothers, Jonathan Winters, and many others. Can't wait to find out who is scheduled for season two.

Jon Hamm fans should check out his cover article in Details. Lots of background and humor.
