The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards will be aired on Sunday, August 29 at 5:00pm on NBC - the TV Junkie will be there reporting for you.
The 2010 Primetime Emmys happen in 12 days, here are some of the scheduled presenters: Will Arnett, Stephen Colbert, Edie Falco, Tina Fey, Laurence Fishburne, Ricky Gervais, January Jones, Julianna Margulies, Matthew Morrison, John Krasinski and Sofia Vergara. In terms of awards shows for TV, this is the big one: the Golden Globes seem random since it's a small group of foreign journalists making their pick of US TV shows; the SAG awards are about actors enthralled by the performances of the moment; and the Television Critics Association sometimes seems to pick a winner based more on the business of TV than the art of it.

Will "Glee" walk away with everything, including the individual performance awards? Hopefully not as it's an ensemble show - the group is much greater than the sum of its parts. What seems clear is that HBO is going to walk away with a lot of statues as it's a shoe-in for best mini-series ("The Pacific"), outstanding TV movie ("You Don't Know Jack"), outstanding lead actor in a TV movie (Al Pacino), outstanding lead actress in a TV movie (Claire Danes), and host of the Emmy creative awards associated with those programs. Unfortunately we won't see Tom Hanks with Yo Gabba Gabba! at the Emmys as the Emmys have yet to nominate YGG (WTF?) due to the Academy being a pack of aging fuddy-duddies (no "Sons of Anarchy" nominations either).

We do hope to see the tables turned a bit, with some wins for "Modern Family", "Men of a Certain Age", and Conan O'Brien. What are you hoping for? Tell us. We'll be reporting from the red carpet on the 29th, meanwhile we will be hydrating since it was 105 degrees at the Nokia last year.
