TV Junkie: Fox Day at the Television Critics Association Summer Sessions

"Raising Hope" wet wipes doled out at today's Television Critics Association hosted by the Fox network. We're not sure if the wipes are for the baby or Cloris Leachman's character.
Don't forgot to check out our video interviews with Jimmy Fallon and Skeet Ulrich that were posted earlier today. What we learned at the Television Critics Association summer session today from the Fox network:
- Fox execs Kevin Reilly and Peter Rice revealed that they talked to Ellen Degeneres back in early June about her leaving "American Idol" but they refused to talk about anyone who will be judging or even directing the show, just that (Rice) "There will be judges on the show in mid-September".
- Cloris Leachman commandeered the "Raising Hope" panel: humiliated critics by forcing them to stand and state their names when they asked a question plus these quotes "[Raising Hope] is funny, brilliant, hilarious, ....fuck!" & "I'm so sick of Betty White - I never liked her" (joking as she has movie w/her coming out). We thought the pilot of "Raising Hope" was the best of the new shows we got from Fox so we have high hopes for the series.
- Most of the pilot for Will Arnett's "Running Wilde" (which also stars Keri Russell) will be re-shot which is good because what we saw was kind of weak. The panel, however, was hilarious whcih makes us think they will get it right on the 2nd try.
- Gordon Ramsay is just as uppity, energetic and confrontational in person as he is on his shows (although no swearing at the critics since this wasn't "Hell's Kitchen").
