Weekend EditionEvidently Snoop Dogg is a big fan of "True Blood" and Sookie Stackhouse in particular. He penned a little ditty for her and made a video which we've embedded at the end of this post: "Oh Sookie".
Last night's game 7 of the Lakers vs Celtics gave the NBA their biggest TV audience in over 12 years. What's funny is that as soon as the last second ticked we know that a significant portion of the LA audience immediately switched over to KTLA to watch the ensuing riots. At least there wasn't any (known at this time) loss of life caused by those a-holes.
Looks like "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" will be back for one final season early next year on Showtime after some dillydallying about whether or not is was ever going to come back.
Holy crap, John Goodman looks great - kudos to him for getting in shape, he's a great actor and we'd love to keep seeing him regularly - his run on HBO's "Treme" was fantastic. The "Treme" season finale is on Sunday at 10pm and the series has been greenlit for a second season.
Let us go happily into the weekend with the knowledge that the Vatican has placed "The Blues Brothers" on their list of recommended films. Yes, the boys from "SNL" who were on a mission from God got the a-OK from Pope Benedict's posse in a move that reeks of utter desperation.
Happy Father's Day to all you Daddys out there!
