Comedy Central's "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" will debut its FIFA World Cup Soccer programming tomorrow and featured in it will be correspondent John Oliver who has travelled to South Africa to cover events there (see our vid of John Oliver at the 2009 Emmys).
We participated in last week's livestream webchat with Susie Essman and it was a lot of fun. She'll be doing another one tonight at 6:30pm Pacific. We've embedded the player at the end of this post so that you can join in here on LAist. "Curb Your Enthusiasm" followed by "Curb: The Discussion", hosted by Essman, starts at 10pm on the TV Guide network.
Despite Tom Cruise and J. Lo's dance number, the mess of expletives, and a line-up of teeny-bopper stars, MTV's Movie Awards show suffered a 13% drop in viewership. While we'd like to attribute the to our not-being there to live-blog it and tweet it up we're assuming it has something more to do with the uninspired "Jersey Shore" lead in as well as a slough of mediocre movies up for awards.
Also at the end of this post, check out the trailer for AMC's "Rubicon" which will premiere this summer. It seems kind of like FX's "Damages" but oriented around government conspiracy.
