TV Junkie: All New Eps on NBC Tonight; Cable Earnings Scary Strong

A night of all-new episodes of their primetime block on NBC includes "Parks and Recreation" at 8:30pm.

We're getting both barrels from NBC tonight as all their primetime comedy shows have new episodes this evening. Granted, if "The Office" or "30 Rock" seem less than stellar we'll have no problems shifting over to watch "Fringe" on Fox but it will be difficult not to do some switching back and forth. NBC will also be tempting us back as they will have the irrepressible Sarah Silverman on "The Marriage Ref".
"Entourage" showrunner Doug Ellin has resigned with HBO for 3 more years. Can you even envision "Entourage" going on that much longer? I guess there will be enough new models of luxury cars to pay for product placement in the series that just seems more and more like a commercial as the seasons drag on.
Happy days in cable-land: Both Time Warner Cable and Viacom have reported improved Q1 earnings. Meanwhile Fox and CBS claim they're not worried about the NBC-Comcast deal that is almost sure to go through.
Cruel/Hilarious Irony: The actress who played Thelma Lou, aka Barney Fife's girlfriend in "The Andy Griffith Show" was robbed this week in the actual town that inspired the setting of "Mayberry" in the show.
The TV Junkie Plan: "Attack of the Show", "Community", "Parks and Recreation", "The Office", "30 Rock", "Dr. Drew", "Chelsea Lately" (Brooke Shields), Colbert (OK Go), Fallon (Ed Burns, Jackie Earle Haley)
