"Party Down" returns to Starz at 10pm tonight and it's great!
Weekend EditionSome great things are happening on TV this weekend, namely the return of "Party Down" to Starz tonight - we've seen the first 1/2 dozen episodes and it's a lot of fun - the addition of Megan Mullally, which we initially feared, is actually fantastic! Tomorrow marks the premiere of HBO's film, You Don't Know Jack, with Al Pacino portraying Jack "Dr. Death" Kevorkian, and it's an incredible film - this will win some Emmys, no doubt about it. We'll be interested to see what "fat" jokes Gabourey Sidibe will join in on with the crew from "SNL" since she said "anything goes" when picked to host a month or so ago. Sunday night's TV Land Awards is a must for any true TV aficionado but we will have to break away at 10pm to watch "Breaking Bad".

Other remarkable possibilities are "Doctor Who" on Saturday (see our cast interviews at the end of this post), and the debut of a new Discovery series featuring brainiac Stephen Hawking on Sunday.
The World of Illness: reality TV star Bret Michaels suffered a major brain hemorrhage today (but has been stabilized) so look for some special footage/shout outs on Sunday's "Celebrity Apprentice". On the good news front, word has it that Michael C. Hall of "Dexter" is reportedly completely cancer free.
The TV Junkie Plan: Tonight - Bill Maher, "Funny or Die" (Will Ferrell!), "The Ricky Gervais Show", "Party Down", "Gravity", Letterman, Ferguson (Drew Carey). Saturday - You Don't Know Jack, "SNL" (Gabourey Sidibe, MGMT). Sunday - Cycling (La Fleche Wallone), "TV Land Awards", "Breaking Bad", "Treme" (late rerun).
