Who else was annoyed by the "V" countdown clock on ABC? It was intrusive to say the least and it distracted us considerably during the 2nd half of "Lost". For all the countdown-ing the premiere episode of "V" was kind of a predictable wash-out and we're hoping that ABC steps up to the plate to deliver a true 10pm slot series. The 2009 Peabody Awards were announced today and we were pleased to see ABC's "Modern Family" among the winners, most of which were PBS and NPR programs who are very deserving of the recognition ("Frontline", "Independent Lens", "Sesame Street", to name a few). "Law & Order" fans (do we have any "Law & Order" fans here? speak up) might be interested in knowing that TNT might step up to the plate and take the show from NBC into its 20th season and beyond.
The College Television Awards are ramping up for their April 10th ceremony. Some folks we've talked to will be there presenting, including Ty Burrell from "Modern Family" and Peter Facinelli from "Nurse Jackie".
Tomorrow on "The Martha Stewart Show" (2pm on NBC): Actor Jeff Daniels makes faux food that looks good enough to eat - this should actually be pretty funny and appropriate for April Fools' Day.
The TV Junkie Plan: @aots, "Web Soup", "Modern Family", "Cougar Town" (we're going to give Sheryl Crow another chance to help this show), "South Park", "Ugly Americans", "Chelsea Lately", Letterman (Ricky Gervais), Fallon (Tyler Perry)
