TV Junkie: Happy St. Patrick's Day; Betty Gets Regular Gig; Food Network Wants Worst Cooks in LA; Dick Towel
Happy St. Patrick's Day: Over at the Archive of American Television's blog they've written a wonderful post complete with video clips of about 20 TV actors, writers, directors of Irish descent each touching on what makes them Irish.
Our friend Betty White has not only landed the May 8th "SNL" hosting gig but will also be a regular co-star of TV Land's "Hot In Cleveland" which will begin airing June 10th. At age 88, White is getting more work than most of Hollywood's stars get when they are half her age.
The Food Network is looking for the worst cooks in Los Angeles: On Saturday, March 27th, from 10am-3pm at the LA Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel & Convention Center, 2500 N. Hollywood Way, in Burbank. You can nominate yourself or someone you know - more details at www.WorstCooksCasting.com and/or email email@example.com
We love FX's "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" and even though the next season is a ways off we just got a video (see it at the end of this post) of Kool Keith's jingle for the gang's Dick Towel product. You might remember the Dick Towel as the result of the entrepreneur convention that the gang crashed last season. Well, it's real and it's for sale and somehow Kool Keith was recruited to come up with a tune and a video. Oh, and the video is very NSFW of course - enjoy!
The TV Junkie Plan: "X-Play", "Web Soup", "South Park", "Ugly Americans", "Daily Show" (Snoop Dogg), Letterman (Gerard Butler, Mindy Kaling), Fallon (Joseph Fiennes)
